Recently I joined a company in Mumbai. Being a fresher, I had less knowledge about the Corporate Environment. However, the large glass windows, an array of computers and conference rooms were breathtaking. Next, HR took me on a small tour of the office. Finally, HR introduced me to the staff of our department and my workplace. 

Being a new joiner, I was a little hesitant to talk to the staff. But then I grabbed some courage and struck a conversation with a gentleman on my right. Psst! I was placed right in the middle of the row of the employees. After having a brief conversation with my new friend at work, I started to observe his desk. There were at least 4 to 5 different mementoes. I had no idea what exactly it was, but his name was there on each of them. Upon enquiring, I learnt that those were the trophies awarded to him by the company. I was awestruck.

For me, a trophy was a cup-shaped item awarded for the performance just like the one’s awarded to the sportspersons. This “trophy” which was there on my colleague’s desk was a uniquely designed masterpiece. There were some words of appreciation alongside the company’s logo. I got so excited and thought of earning one for myself. The most important aspect of the trophies was the essence of freshness and diversity of the designs. It was very tempting to have one, but I had to control myself because I had to WIN my own custom made trophy.

Such is the aura of a custom made trophy that will make you fall in love with it. A personalized award surely overpowers a readymade trophy.
